I had my transmission "fixed" by Cottman Transmission twice within a 2 month period last year. 1st time it took less than a week. Then it blew while I was driving in the middle of the highway! I could've been killed! They "fixed" it again and it took almost a month and I lost my job! I've had nothing but problems with it since. A year later and it's starting to slip again! 4-401 & 4-402 Improper or inferior repair & Delayed completion of repair. In May of 2014 I dropped my 99 Ford Ranger off for repair to Cottman Transmissions on Church st. in Burlington NC. I took my vehicle to Cottman transmission in Wilmington, North Carolina. It was a volkswagen jetta. My husband is a mechanic, but does not have a shop to properly put in a transmission. Steve the owner is a drug addict! I personally witnessed him snorting pills at his desk on many occasions, as well as prostitution going on inside the shop with steve and his mechanic jeremy on west broad st. Columbus, Ohio. Hands down, this company provided me with one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a repair shop.
